Dr. Kristina Petzold is a Researcher affiliated with the Collaborative Research Center (SFB) 1288 'Practices of Comparison' at Bielefeld University. She holds a PhD from the University of Hildesheim (2023) and has held research positions at institutions such as the University Foundation Hildesheim (2017-2020) and the University of Duisburg-Essen (2016-2017). Her work focuses on comparative reading methodologies, digital humanities, and the intersection of literature with digital communication. Currently, she contributes to Subproject D05 of SFB 1288, exploring stylistics as a literary method through a digital humanities lens.
Her research interests include the discursive processing of digital literature, interdisciplinary approaches to cultural review processes, and the application of comparative practices in knowledge production. She earned her Master's (2015) and Bachelor's (2011) degrees in German Studies from Duisburg-Essen and Jena, respectively, with a minor in Psychology. Her academic achievements include a doctoral dissertation honored with 'summa cum laude.'
Dr. Petzold has collaborated on projects such as 'Rez@Kultur' (digital culture reviews) and holds a scholarship from the Hans Böckler Foundation. Her work bridges literary theory, digital media studies, and interdisciplinary research methodologies.
