Kristina Muhhina

Kristina Muhhina is a Research Fellow at the University of Tartu, affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences and Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies. She holds a PhD in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha (2012) and MA/BA degrees from the University of Tartu.

• Research Interests: public governance, policy design, European Neighborhood Policy, democracy promotion, and qualitative/interpretive research methods.
• Teaching: Courses include Public Governance, Policy Writing, Qualitative Methods, and Estonian Public Administration at both bachelor's and master's levels.

Scientific Awards:

• E-course quality mark for 'Public Governance' (2023)
• Kristjan Jaag Scholarship (2008)

Research Projects: Current work package leader for REPAIR (Rejuvenating Democracy in the EU, 2023–2025) and former director of the Democracy and Governance MA program (2019–2020).
