Kristina M. Hash

Kristina M. Hash is a Professor at the School of Social Work, West Virginia University, and director of the Gerontology Certificate Program. Her work focuses on aging, LGBTQ+ issues, and technology in education.

• Education: PhD in Social Work (Virginia Commonwealth University, 2001), MSW and Graduate Certificate in Gerontology (WVU, 1993 and 1996), BA (College of St. Catherine, 1990)

Research Interests span geriatric education, rural gerontology, and LGBTQ+ aging, with over 20 years of grant-funded work and publications. Her 2022 book on Photography in Social Work highlights technology in teaching.
