معرفی
Kristina Launey, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at Louisiana State University. Her research focuses on theoretical nuclear physics and astrophysics, particularly ab initio modeling of atomic nuclei.
Research Focus: Develops symmetry-adapted approaches including the no-core symplectic shell model (NCSpM) for nuclear structure calculations. Current work addresses fundamental nuclear interactions through group-theoretical frameworks and applications to nuclear reactions important for astrophysics.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Physics from Louisiana State University
- M.S. in Nuclear Physics from Sofia University
Teaching: Courses include Electricity/Magnetism/Optics (PHYS 2411), Computational Science, and General Physics laboratories.
