Baishan Hu

Dr. Baishan Hu is a Research Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University's Cyclotron Institute, specializing in ab initio nuclear theory. His research develops computational methods to study nuclear structure and reactions, focusing on weakly bound systems, nuclear astrophysics, and connections to dark matter detection.

His work employs in-medium similarity renormalization group (IMSRG), coupled cluster methods, and many-body perturbation theory to predict properties of exotic nuclei. Recent publications in Physical Review Letters and Nature Physics address nuclear skins, deformation effects, and Gamow shell models.
