معرفی
Kristina Eriksson Stenström is a Professor at the Faculty of Engineering (LTH), Lund University, specializing in interdisciplinary applications of natural and anthropogenic radionuclides. Her work bridges environmental radiology, internal dosimetry, and medical sciences, with a focus on projects related to the European Spallation Source (ESS) and nuclear power plant emissions.
- Current Projects: Environmental monitoring of ESS prior to neutron production, SDG contributions, and international collaboration with India's CARER.
- Research Interests: Environmental radiology, 14C/3H tracking, internal dosimetry, and medical applications of isotopes.
She utilizes accelerator mass spectrometry (14C-AMS) for disease development studies and environmental impact assessments. Her work has been recognized with awards including the Radioecologist of the Year (2024) and Kurt Lidéns Award (2017).
Key Collaborations: Medical Radiation Physics (Malmö), Centre for Advanced Research in Environmental Radioactivity (Mangalore University, India), and Strålsäkerhetsmyndigheten (Swedish Radiation Safety Authority).
Infrastructure: Involved with the Radiocarbon Dating Laboratory at Lund University.
