Dr Kristina Burgetova is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Social and Health Sciences and Counselling department at James Cook University (Singapore). Originally from Slovakia, she has been based in Singapore since 2012. She holds a Psy.D. from the University of St. Thomas (USA) and is licensed as a psychologist in Minnesota and registered in Singapore. Her clinical expertise spans couple therapy, family dynamics, identity development, and cross-cultural adjustment. Dr Burgetova previously served as Director of the Wellness Centre at Nanyang Technological University’s National Institute of Education until 2016. She currently provides psychological services to public and private sectors and serves as an external psychologist for INSEAD. She is a certified Gottman Therapist and member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists.
