Kristin Vold Lexander is Associate Professor at the Department of Nordic Languages and Literature, where she leads the DigiMulti project on digital multilingualism in workplaces and schools, funded by the Research Council of Norway. Her research examines multilingual family communication, digital interaction patterns, and Norwegian as a second language.
She received the BAAL Book Prize Runner-up award (2024) for her co-authored monograph Multilingual Families in a Digital Age. Through ethnographic sociolinguistic approaches, she investigates language practices in transnational families, workplace communication, and digital literacy. She collaborates internationally on projects including SOELE and ACTIN.
