Kristin V. Landau is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology at Northwestern University, affiliated with the Weinberg College of Arts & Sciences. She concurrently serves as a Visiting Scholar at Loyola University Chicago and a Research Assistant at the Center for Advanced Spatial Technologies, University of Arkansas. She completed her PhD in anthropological archaeology at Northwestern University and previously held an Assistant Professor position at Alma College.

Her research focuses on political dynamics in the ancient Maya city of Copán, Honduras, emphasizing collaborative methodologies with Indigenous communities. Current projects include advanced 3D modeling (lidar + photogrammetry) to investigate Los Sapos ritual area, challenging traditional views of Copán's ethnic homogeneity. She integrates geospatial analysis, cultural astronomy, and archaeological pedagogy in her work.
Teaching interests span traditional fieldwork, laboratory techniques, digital methods, and collaborative research practices. She actively supports student learning in these areas.
