Kristin Perry is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling Psychology and Human Services at the University of Oregon’s College of Education. She is also affiliate faculty with the Prevention Science Institute.

Dr. Perry’s research applies a prevention science and developmental psychopathology framework to investigate prenatal substance exposure and its long-term effects on child development. Her work focuses on protective factors like parenting and peer dynamics that mitigate risks.
Recent studies explore autonomic functioning in prenatal tobacco/cannabis exposure, pandemic impacts on executive function measurement, and social ecological models of aggression. Her publications emphasize regulatory processes, mood interactions in caregivers, and prevention strategies.
