Kristin Leigh Calhoun is a Professor in the Art Department at Austin Community College, teaching since 2015. She serves as Departmental Advisor and teaches courses including Design I, Drawing I and II, and Art Appreciation (with a Study Abroad program in Vienna).

Calhoun's artistic practice centers on printmaking, drawing, and design, informed by cultural anthropology. She integrates observation of people and systems into her art and teaching, fostering creative problem-solving. Her work explores the intersection of traditional print media with contemporary themes.
She has exhibited widely, with recent shows including 'Art in Words: Prints from the 20th Century to Today' at the Harry Ransom Center (2023). Her work is held in collections such as the Harry Ransom Center and the Southern Graphics Council International Print Collection.
