Kristin L. Krueger is Professor & Department Chair in the Department of Anthropology at Loyola University Chicago. A first-generation college graduate, she earned her Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Arkansas in 2011.

Her research focuses on biological anthropology, specifically dental anthropology within paleoanthropology and bioarchaeology. She investigates dietary and behavioral strategies of hominins, including Neandertals, archaic modern humans, and recent modern humans, through dental microwear texture analysis and experimental simulations using Artificial Resynthesis Technology (ART-VII). Her work spans fieldwork in Canada, Egypt, England, Italy, Nepal, Spain, and the U.S., with recent NSF-funded projects advancing understanding of tooth wear progression.

Dr. Krueger mentors underrepresented STEM students and leads the Chicago Experimental Wear (ChEW) Lab. She teaches courses including Human Origins, Dental Anthropology, and Evolution of the Human Diet.
