Kristin Kepler

Kristin Kepler, DNP, WHNP-BC is a Major in the U.S. Air Force and a faculty member at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), specifically within the Graduate School of Nursing. She holds a BSN from Valparaiso University and a DNP from USUHS. Her primary roles include teaching in the Family Nurse Practitioner and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner programs, alongside advancing research and clinical practice.

Dr. Kepler’s research interests focus on improving access to healthcare for women, particularly addressing military-specific concerns for service members and their dependents. She emphasizes preventive care and problem-based solutions to enable women to return to work and family life effectively. Prior to her academic role, she served as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner at Kadena AFB in Okinawa and Mountain Home AFB in Idaho, with initial clinical experience in labor and delivery at Travis AFB.
