Kristin Jones

Kristin Jones serves as a Full Time Assistant Professor and Academic Fieldwork Coordinator in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Dominican University's School of Health and Natural Sciences.

Her educational background includes a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University.

Research focuses on critical gaps in occupational therapy education and practice:

• Student transition from academic training to professional clinical roles
• Systematic integration of occupation into all phases of therapeutic interventions

As Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, she oversees clinical training placements. Her professional innovations include developing the first online Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS) certification course and co-authoring a textbook chapter on the Occupational Therapy Intervention Process Model (OTIPM). Prior leadership as Program Director at the Center for Innovative OT Solutions involved international teaching of AMPS/OTIPM courses and clinical expertise in neurological/orthopedic rehabilitation, ergonomic evaluations, and repetitive strain injury management.
