Kristin J. Carothers

Kristin J. Carothers serves as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Morehouse School of Medicine while maintaining a clinical practice at Peachtree Integrated Psychology. She holds board positions with Our Minds Matter and Trinity School (Atlanta), and advises DePaul University's College of Science and Health as a health board member.

Her academic foundation includes a BS from Howard University followed by MA/PhD in Clinical Psychology from DePaul University. Professional training encompassed a predoctoral internship at Columbia University Medical Center and a postdoctoral fellowship in trauma-focused CBT at St. John’s University’s Child HELP Partnership.

Specializing in evidence-based interventions, Dr. Carothers implements cognitive behavioral therapy for diverse populations with emphasis on childhood mental health conditions. Her clinical expertise spans ADHD management, trauma recovery protocols, and high-conflict co-parenting therapy. Previous institutional affiliations include New York-Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center's School-Based Mental Health Program and the Child Mind Institute's ADHD and Behavior Disorders Center where she served as Senior Psychologist.
