Kristin Dickinson

Kristin Dickinson is an Assistant Professor in the Acute & Tertiary Care department at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing. Her research focuses on improving quality of life across the cancer care continuum through symptom science and lifestyle-based interventions.

• Symptom Science: Investigates cancer-related fatigue, emphasizing biological correlates like mitochondrial function and oxidative stress in prostate cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy.
• Lifestyle-Based Interventions: Studies sedentary behavior in older adults with cancer to develop behavioral strategies for health outcomes improvement.

She is affiliated with professional organizations including the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer, Oncology Nursing Society, Society of Behavioral Medicine, and International Society of Geriatric Oncology. Currently, she is accepting PhD students for mentorship.
