Kristin Clark is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Performing Arts at Adrian College. She holds a Doctorate in vocal performance from the University of Michigan, alongside Master’s degrees in vocal performance and choral conducting, and an undergraduate degree in music education. Dr. Clark is renowned for her operatic and concert performances, including solo debuts at Carnegie Hall and roles in works by Mahler, Duruflé, Handel, Mozart, and Beethoven. She has performed with organizations like the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, Michigan Opera Theatre, and the Blue Lake Summer Arts Festival. Her operatic roles include Electre (Milhaud), Dido (Purcell), and Armide (Gluck).
Dr. Clark’s career spans teaching at Adrian College, the University of Michigan, Concordia University, and summer programs like Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Her students have achieved success in Broadway, national tours, and academic teaching roles. She has received critical acclaim for her vocal technique and artistry, highlighted by a GRAMMY-nominated recording and masterclasses with luminaries such as Jessye Norman and David Daniels.
