Kristie A. Ford is a Professor of Sociology and Critical Race and Political Economy at Mount Holyoke College. She serves as the inaugural Director of the Center for Intergroup Dialogue, where she focuses on expanding curricular and professional development initiatives in social justice education. Her work intersects with the departments of Sociology and Anthropology and Critical Race and Political Economy.

Dr. Ford’s research examines the intersections of race, gender, and social identities, particularly in relation to:
- Body management practices and their sociocultural implications
- Anti-racist pedagogical strategies in educational settings
- Intergroup dialogue as a tool for social justice
Her recent publications highlight intergroup dialogue frameworks, with a 2024 edited book chapter analyzing transformative dialogues in socially just communities. Earlier works include a 2018 book on social justice advocacy and a 2015 article exploring white student alliances across racial lines.
