Kristen Kull is an Adjunct Professor of Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences at Winthrop University. She holds an M.S. from the University of Colorado-Denver and a B.S. in Chemistry from the United States Air Force Academy. Prior to academia, she served in the Air Force, transitioning from logistics to teaching chemistry at the Air Force Academy before retiring in 2006. Since 2006, she has taught General Chemistry lectures and labs, Analytical Chemistry, and 'Applying Chemistry to Society' at Winthrop. She also teaches summer courses at York Technical College, both in-person and online.
Her expertise spans general and analytical chemistry, with a focus on laboratory techniques and practical applications. Though no specific publications are listed, her teaching emphasizes hands-on learning and contemporary chemical topics.
Outside academia, Kull volunteers with Hospice and Community Care as a patient companion and serves on the Allocations Committee for the United Way of York County. She collaborates with her husband, Trent Kull (a mathematics faculty member at Winthrop), to tutor their daughter in STEM subjects.
