Dr. Kristen Knepp is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family & Community Medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University's College of Medicine. Her expertise lies in behavioral sciences education, particularly medical interviewing and motivational interviewing techniques. She currently serves as Course Director for the M1 Practice of Medicine series and actively contributes to the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM), where she was recognized as a 2024 New Faculty Scholar. Her research focuses on medical education innovation, obesity stigma reduction, and interprofessional collaboration.
Dr. Knepp holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Virginia Tech (2013 and 2009) and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh (2007). Her teaching portfolio includes directing all three levels of the Practice of Medicine course sequence.
