Kristen Jacklin

Kristen Jacklin is a Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Biobehavioral Health at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor and Head of the Memory Keepers Medical Discovery Team, focusing on culturally responsive dementia research for Indigenous populations.

Research Interests: Her work addresses dementia prevalence, cognitive assessment tools, and blood biomarkers in Native American communities. She integrates community-based participatory research, therapeutic poetry, and language change initiatives to improve care for Indigenous elders.
