Kristen Gorman is an Associate Professor in the Biological Sciences Department at California State University, Chico. She holds a BSc from the University of Washington and a PhD from Simon Fraser University. Her research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms controlling posture, particularly idiopathic scoliosis, using genetic models in fish (guppy and medaka). She teaches courses in Human Genetics (BIOL 303) and Genetics (BIOL 360), and advises the Pre-Physician Assistant Club.
