معرفی
Kristen Dage is a Lecturer at Curtin Institute of Radio Astronomy (Curtin University) in Perth, Australia, specializing in multiwavelength astrophysics. She holds a PhD in Astrophysics from Michigan State University (2020) and previously held positions as a NASA Einstein Fellow at Wayne State University and Postdoctoral Fellow at McGill University.
Her research investigates black holes and neutron stars within dense star clusters using radio to gamma-ray observations. Key interests include accretion physics, ultraluminous X-ray sources (ULXs), intermediate mass black holes, and gravitational wave progenitors. She co-chairs Rubin Observatory's Stars, Milky Way and Local Volume Collaboration and leads its Star Clusters Science Working Group.
Awards & Grants:
- NASA Einstein Fellowship (2023)
- Legacy Survey of Space and Time Discovery Alliance grant (2023)
- Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array research time (2022)
- NICER Cycle 3 grant (2021)
She founded the Dead Stars Society initiative, providing astrophysics research opportunities for undergraduates from under-resourced institutions, supported by LSST Discovery Alliance and Michigan Space Grant Consortium.
