Krista Clancy

Krista Clancy is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at Wayne State University's College of Education. She serves as Program Coordinator for the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Program and the Masters in Educational Psychology Program, and acts as Field Placement Advisor and Verified Course Sequence Coordinator for ABA.

Dr. Clancy’s research and academic interests focus on Applied Behavior Analysis, Autism Spectrum Disorder, parent involvement, care coordination, and effective teaching and training techniques. Her work emphasizes reducing barriers to treatment, interprofessional training, and ethical supervision. She is a licensed psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Her recent scholarly output centers on improving access to ABA services, particularly for minority and underserved populations. Themes include stakeholder-driven research, care coordination, supervision practices, and integration of ABA into medical and community settings. Much of her work involves collaboration across disciplines and engagement with community stakeholders to shape policy and service delivery.

She teaches core ABA courses including field experiences, conceptual analysis, and organizational behavior management.

She is actively involved in professional development and community outreach, presenting widely on supervision, ethical practice, and systemic barriers in ABA service delivery.
