Kris Menos is a Lecturer at the Academy of Art University's School of Architecture, Creative Director at Human Being Design, and a transdisciplinary practitioner integrating architecture, speculative design, and environmental anthropology. At MIT, he earned a post-professional SMArchS in Architectural Design under a Graduate Fellowship, and at Syracuse University, he graduated with a BArch and dual majors in Architecture and History of Architecture under scholarship.
- Research Focus: Anthropomorphic form-making, transhumanist architecture, and dissolving human-environment boundaries through parametric design and material experimentation.
- Teaching: First-year design studios, digital modeling courses, and Pre-College architecture programs emphasizing procedural thinking and conceptual translation.
- Professional Experience: Architectural Research Fellow at Terreform ONE, Project Architect at Hart Howerton, and design roles at Woolley Morris Architects and Arrowstreet across scales from 1in² to 1Mft² projects.
Awards: James Britton Memorial Award (2013), King+King First Place Award, and Kaufman Teaching Certificate. Community Work: Co-founder/Director of Research at Trenton Grows, developing youth garden programs integrating design thinking and sustainability.
