Kottaridis Konstantina is a Professor at the Department of Economics of the University of Piraeus, where she serves as Director of the Postgraduate Program in Bioeconomy, Circular Economy and Sustainable Development and Director of the Laboratory of Bioeconomy, Circular Economy and Sustainable Development. She is also a faculty member of the Hellenic Open University since 2013 and the Open University of Cyprus since 2021.
Her research focuses on Economic Development and Growth, Foreign Direct Investment and Multinational Enterprises with emphasis on technology, innovation and sustainability, Sustainable Development and Circular Economy, and Small and Medium Enterprises internationalization. Her work has been published in internationally renowned journals including International Business Review, Empirical Economics, Review of International Economics, Journal of Macroeconomics, and Applied Economics.
Analysis of her recent publications shows a consistent focus on the intersection of international business, economic development, and sustainability. Her research demonstrates expertise in econometric analysis of FDI patterns, regulatory impacts on investment flows, and the evolving relationship between technology, innovation and sustainable economic growth. She has developed a distinctive research profile examining how institutional contexts shape international business activities and economic development outcomes.
Professor Kottaridis has supervised numerous doctoral theses and currently serves as advisor to five doctoral candidates. She has participated extensively in international conferences and served on organizing committees for major academic events. Additionally, she holds leadership roles as Executive Director of the Athenian Policy Forum and previously represented Greece on the Board of Directors of the European International Business Academy. She also serves as a special advisor to the Crisis Observatory of the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP).
She teaches undergraduate courses including Introduction to Microeconomics I & II, Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development, and Monetary Theory. At the postgraduate level, she teaches courses across multiple programs including Bioeconomy, Circular Economy and Sustainable Development; Economic and Business Strategy; Health Economics and Administration; and Educational Economics and Management.
