Professor Konstantina Botsiou is a distinguished academic specializing in History and International Relations at the University of Piraeus. She holds a PhD from the University of Tübingen and previously served as Associate Professor and Director of the Centre for Greek and International History (KEDIS) at the University of the Peloponnese. Currently, she leads the Energy and Environmental Policy Laboratory and serves as Director of the Council for International Relations-Greece. Her roles include Visiting Professor at the Hellenic National Defense College and Editor of the 'Contemporary and World History' publication series.

Her research focuses on European integration, Cold War dynamics, Balkan geopolitics, and Greek foreign policy. She has led over 15 research projects and authored/edited 15+ books and 120+ academic articles. Notable works include Greece’s Course to Europe and The Balkans in the Cold War.
Prof. Botsiou has held leadership roles in institutions like the Konstantinos Karamanlis Institute for Democracy and the Hellenic Parliament Foundation. She has received grants from the Erasmus Program, DAAD, and the US Embassy, among others. Her work extends to public engagement through TV documentaries and op-eds in media outlets.
