Kotryna Garanasvili is a multilingual writer, translator, and interpreter working with Lithuanian, English, French, German, Georgian, and Russian. She currently holds an Assistant Professor position at both University of East Anglia and Vilnius University, focusing on literature, creative writing, and translation. Her PhD research at UEA's School of Literature, Drama and Creative Writing explores dialectal literature in translation, funded by the CHASE Arts and Humanities Research Council.

Her research interests span dialects, non-standard language, taboo language, creative writing, and interdisciplinary research, particularly at the intersection of literature and architecture. She is also deeply engaged with multilingualism and exophony - writing in non-native languages. Her recent work includes translating The Pear Field from Georgian to Lithuanian, supported by the Lithuanian Council for Culture.
Scientific contributions include articles in Pragmatics and Translation and Translation Studies, with focus on non-standard language representation. She has received multiple translation awards and grants, including the National Centre for Writing Emerging Translators Mentorship scheme and EU traineeships at the Council in Brussels and European Parliament in Luxembourg.
