Koronaki Irini

Koronaki Irini is a Professor at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), School of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Thermal Engineering, where she has held progressive academic appointments since 2007. Her research focuses on thermodynamic systems and sustainable energy applications.

Education:

Her research expertise spans thermodynamics of refrigeration cycles, heaters, and power cycles with emphasis on energy saving and building energy design. She develops computational thermodynamic models and investigates clean energy technologies for industrial and building applications, contributing significantly to Greece's Energy Performance of Buildings Regulation (KENAK).

Koronaki actively supervises diploma and doctoral theses at NTUA while serving on multiple examination committees. Her leadership extends to organizing ASME IMECE conference sessions on Engineering Thermodynamics (2013-2018) and reviewing for top energy journals including Energy and Buildings and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews.
