Konstanze Baron, Ph.D., is a Visiting Professor at the Gotha Research Centre of the University of Erfurt. Her work bridges Enlightenment studies, moral philosophy, and 18th-century European literature, with a focus on Diderot, Rousseau, and cross-disciplinary intellectual history.
Research Interests:
- Self and Other in Enlightenment autobiographical texts
- Experimental narratives and pedagogical frameworks
- Theater from Classicism to French Revolution
- Moral philosophy and literary anthropology
- Institutional political theory
- Rhetoric and speech act theory
Selected Publications include monographs on Diderot’s narratives and co-edited volumes exploring Enlightenment perfectionism, Rousseau’s institutional paradoxes, and cross-cultural dialogues. Her recent 2023 article on Voltaire’s L’Ingénu examines critical social philosophy.
