معرفی
Konstantinos Christodoulou is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Climate and Atmosphere Research Center (CARE-C) of The Cyprus Institute. His work focuses on projecting renewable energy production from solar and wind resources in Cyprus and the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East (EMME) region under climate change scenarios. He investigates impacts of future climatic variables like aerosols, temperature rises, and desertification on energy yields.
Education:
- BSc in Mathematics
- MSc in Applied Mathematical Sciences
- PhD in Acoustical Wave Problems (using high-order finite element methods for Helmholtz Equation solutions)
Research Interests: Combines atmospheric physics with renewable energy modeling. Prior work includes marine current velocity studies in the Eastern Mediterranean and lidar-based atmospheric particle analysis in Limassol. His mathematical expertise underpins computational approaches to environmental and energy systems.
Labs/Teams: Active within CARE-C’s interdisciplinary teams addressing climate-energy nexus challenges.
