Konstantin Shestopaloff is a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford, currently serving as Analytics Lead for the IL-17 project group within the Oxford-Novartis collaboration. He holds a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Toronto (2017), specializing in microbiome and ecological community data analysis. His research focuses on methodological advancements for clinical and biomedical data, particularly addressing sparsity challenges in datasets.
Research interests include inference methods for rare species in microbiome studies, total species estimation, and longitudinal data modelling using random effect splines. He has contributed to metabolomic and miRNA signature analyses in arthritis research, as well as population health studies on polygenic risk scores in obesity.
