Dr. Koen Leurs is a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Media and Communications, London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE, UK). He is affiliated with the Graduate Gender Studies and the Institute for Cultural Inquiry (ICON) at Utrecht University, Netherlands. His research focuses on digital practices among young migrants, urban politics, and transnational affective capital. Notably, he explores how digital media mediate urban coexistence and transnational connectivity in contexts like London and Addis Ababa. He contributed to the Urban Politics of London Youth Analyzed Digitally (UPLOAD) project and has lectured at institutions such as Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (ZIS Center for Intercultural Studies).
