Knut Olav Nordseth

Knut Olav Nordseth is an Assistant Professor at the University of Inland Norway, affiliated with the Faculty of Teacher Education and Pedagogy and the Center for Practice-Oriented Educational Research in Hamar. He joined the institution in 2021 and holds a bachelor's degree in organization and management and a master's in educational leadership. With 18 years of experience as a teacher and school principal in primary and secondary schools, he now focuses on academic research and education.

His research emphasizes management of improvement work in early childhood sectors, quality development, leadership dynamics (particularly middle managers), pedagogical analysis, and professional learning communities. Nordseth leads projects like “Regional competence development in Sør-Østerdal” and collaborates with Oslo MET in educational programs.

Publications include a 2024 chapter in Management of Quality Work in Schools, co-authored with Ann Margareth Gustavsen. He contributes to academic initiatives without noted awards.
