Dr Knut Nygaard is a Senior University Teacher at the University of Sheffield's School of Economics and concurrently an Associate Professor at Oslo Business School, Oslo Metropolitan University. His expertise spans finance, with a focus on asset pricing, corporate governance, and individual investor behavior.

Research interests include policy-related projects on development economics and institutional collaboration with global bodies like the IMF, World Bank, and UNDP. Awards include the 2021 Best Postgraduate Lecturer distinction.
Prior to academia, Nygaard worked as an Economist at Chr. Michelsen Institute (CMI), conducting policy research for international organizations. His work bridges theoretical finance with applied policy analysis.
