Klepper Alfredo Garcia is an Associate Professor at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University, with dual appointments in the Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery. Originally from Ecuador, he pursued medical training in the United States, earning his MD in 2002 and specializing in Neurocritical Care. His clinical focus includes critical care neurology, stroke management, and hemorrhagic disorders in neurological patients.

His research explores neurocritical care challenges such as intraventricular hemorrhage management, hemorrhagic stroke conversion, and platelet dysfunction in ESRD patients. Recent publications address spreading depolarization in stroke, autoimmune encephalitis treatments, and post-surgical vascular complications.
He has received multiple teaching awards (2020-2025) and contributes to institutional governance as Chair of the WMCG Neuro-ICU Quality Improvement Committee and member of Augusta University’s neuroscience, organ donation, and critical care councils.
