Klemens Hammerer

Prof. Klemens Hammerer is a Professor and Executive Board member at the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Leibniz University Hannover. He leads a research group focused on theoretical quantum optics, optomechanics, and quantum information theory. His work involves studying quantum systems for applications in quantum technology, such as ion traps, Bose-Einstein condensates, and optomechanical devices. He holds affiliated roles including Deputy Head of the Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) 1227 'Designed Quantum States of Matter (DQ-mat)' and membership in QuantumFrontiers and the Quest Centre for Quantum Engineering and Space-Time Research.

Research interests span theoretical quantum optics, quantum engineering, and precision measurements.
