Klaus Corcilius

Klaus Corcilius is Professor of Ancient Philosophy at the University of Tübingen, Faculty of Philosophy, Philosophical Seminar. He leads the ERC project TIDA and specializes in Aristotle's metaphysics, psychology, and action theory.

His research explores Aristotle's theory of animal agency, self-motion, and the unity of the soul, alongside Platonic epistemology. He publishes extensively on De Anima, De Motu Animalium, and biological works.

He supervises doctoral students in ancient philosophy and has edited Aristotle's texts. Office hours are Wednesdays 1-2pm.
