Klas Hjort is a Professor of Materials Science at Uppsala University's Ångström Laboratory, specializing in Microsystems Technology. He leads the microsystems technology program and has pioneered research in heterogeneous microsystems on stainless steel, flexible foils, and elastic substrates for biomedical applications and wireless sensor/actuator systems.
