Kirti Shetty

Kirti Shetty is a Professor of Medicine and Director of the Section of Hepatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Her clinical and research focus spans hepatocellular carcinoma, cirrhosis, and viral hepatitis, with a particular emphasis on biomarker discovery for early liver cancer detection.

Dr. Shetty has authored over a dozen publications in journals like Oncogene, Gastroenterology, and Hepatology, with recent work focusing on genomic instability, metabolomic profiling, and transplantation outcomes. Her research bridges clinical expertise with translational science.
