Kirsty Morrin

Dr Kirsty Morrin is a sociologist at the University of Liverpool, specializing in social inequalities, global education policy, and youth activisms. She holds a PhD from the University of Manchester and has been affiliated with Liverpool since 2017. Her research examines classed, raced, and gendered inequalities in education, privatization of state education, and entrepreneurship in educational contexts. She is currently investigating 'public-private' partnerships in England’s academies programme, with a forthcoming monograph on the topic.

Her teaching roles include module coordination and instruction in courses like 'Culture, Power and Social Change' and 'Sociologies of Class and Inequality.' She has supervised multiple PhD students focusing on topics ranging from armed forces personnel analysis to pedagogical strategies in entrepreneurial education.
