She holds a first-class BA (Human Geography) from Queen Mary University of London (2018) and an MA (Social Research) from the University of Leeds (2019). Her research interests span social and spatial inequality, feminist critiques of neoliberalism, and the intersection of care, emotions, and resistance in post-conflict societies. Methodologically, her work employs ethnography to explore how intimate relationships intertwine with political and social dynamics in Northern Ireland.
Laura has received the Principal’s Graduation Prize for academic excellence. Her PhD supervisors include Dr. Kirsty Morrin, Dr. Diane Frost, and Dr. Elham Amini. Her research period spans September 2022 to September 2026.
