Kira Baresel

Kira Baresel is a Researcher at the University of Vechta's Institute for Gerontology (IfG), specializing in retirement provision and intergenerational transfers. She holds a BA (2010-2014) and MA (2014-2016) in Gerontology from the same institution. Her research examines asset transfers (inheritances/gifts) and their impact on retirement security, particularly gender disparities, supported by the Research Network on Retirement Provision (FNA) and collaborations with DIW and DZA. She teaches quantitative research methods and statistics. Upcoming publications include a co-edited book on multigenerational aging perspectives.

Her work bridges gerontology, economics, and social policy, focusing on systemic inequalities and future retirement systems. Projects address intergenerational resource distribution and policy implications.
