Kip Tellez is a Professor in the Education Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC), and a fellow of Stevenson and Crown Colleges. He holds a Ph.D. from Claremont Graduate University. His research focuses on teacher education, second language instruction, equity pedagogy, and evaluation methodologies. He co-directs the Center for Research on Equity and Collaborative Evaluation (CRECE), which supports educational projects. He has advised current PhD student Rachael Dektor and recent graduates including Jolene Gregory Castillo and Yuzhu Xia.
