Kingshuk Sinha

Kingshuk Sinha is a Professor and Chair of the Supply Chain and Operations Department at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, holding the Elmer L. Andersen Chair in Sustainable Supply Chain. He also serves as a Graduate Faculty member in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.

• Education: PhD in Management (University of Texas-Austin, 1991), MS in Petroleum Engineering (University of Texas-Austin, 1986), BTech (Honors) in Petroleum Engineering (Indian School of Mines, 1982).

Dr. Sinha’s research focuses on empirical studies addressing real-world challenges in healthcare, high-tech, food/agribusiness, and energy sectors. His recent work evaluates:

• Implications of technology advancements (e.g., surgical robots, telemedicine) on healthcare affordability
• AI-enabled platforms for mental health equity
• Medical device recall management
• Global supply chain transparency

His 15 most recent publications span journals like Production and Operations Management, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, and Journal of Operations Management, covering topics from precision medicine informatics to work design in distributed projects.
