Kine Angelo

Kine Angelo is an Associate Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), affiliated with the Faculty of Architecture and Design and the Department of Architecture and Technology. She is a full-time academic and researcher at the Light & Colour Centre, leading the Master course AAR4620 Architectural Design with Light and Colour. Her work bridges research, education, and public outreach in color and light applications in architecture and urban spaces.

Her research focuses on color perception, urban color composition, and environmental color design, with emphasis on creating harmonious and inclusive architectural environments. She has collaborated internationally through projects like the SYN-TES Nordic research initiative and the International Color Association (AIC). Angelo actively engages with municipalities to develop color guidelines for urban development, advocating for color as a critical design element in public spaces.

Publications span color theory, urban color dynamics, and interdisciplinary studies, often co-authored with Charles Alexander Booker. Recent work includes exploring color's role in memory and place through art exhibitions and conferences. She has been featured in radio interviews discussing Trondheim's color identity and controversies in architectural color choices.
