Kimberly Tanner

Kimberly Tanner is a Professor in the field of Biology Education at San Francisco State University (SF State) since 2004. Her research focuses on understanding how people learn science, particularly biology, and fostering collaboration between teachers and scientists to enhance science education from Kindergarten through college. She specializes in equity and diversity in science, science teaching methods, K-12 partnerships, novel assessment tools, community college biology teaching, and cognitive psychology research.
