Kimberly L. Jones, Ph.D., is the Dean of Howard University's College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) and an Associate Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering. She also serves as Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs and chairs the U.S. EPA's Science Advisory Board. Jones holds degrees from Howard University (B.S. 1990), University of Illinois (M.S. 1991), and Johns Hopkins University (Ph.D. 1996).
Her research focuses on water quality, environmental justice, nanotechnology, and global water treatment. Jones has led initiatives at NSF, NIBS, and NASEM, emphasizing equity and sustainability. Awards include Howard's Researcher of the Year and Essence Magazine's Top Women Achievers recognition. She advocates for underrepresented groups in STEM and chairs JEDI efforts in water policy.
