Kimberly D'Anna-Hernandez, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI. Her research focuses on behavioral neuroscience and perinatal mental health disparities in Latinx populations.
- Education: Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience (University of Wisconsin-Madison, 2008), B.S. in Animal Behavior/Neuroscience (Michigan State University, 2003), Postdoctoral training at University of Colorado Denver (2011)
Her research examines how stress-related hormones, acculturation, and discrimination affect maternal behavior and offspring development through the Cultural Perinatal Health Laboratory. She uses community-engaged approaches to study neuroendocrine regulation and maternal-child depression vulnerability.
