Kimberly Barber

Kimberly Barber serves as Professor of Voice, Associate Dean for External Affairs, Partnerships and Graduate Studies, and Administrative Coordinator of Opera at Wilfrid Laurier University's Faculty of Music. With over two decades of experience since joining Laurier in 2002, she actively teaches voice, Body Mapping for Musicians, and leads Opera Laurier while expanding community partnerships to enrich student opportunities.

Research Interests: Barber's work centers on Voice Pedagogy, Opera, and Body Mapping for Musicians. As a licensed Body Mapping Educator®, she investigates music and movement to prevent injury and optimize performance. Her current research explores singing and identity, partner practice, and community building in voice studios, documented on her blog Singing & Self.
